Notes
Similar to many of Wuxi Xindong's other sets, this one is essentially a universal chassis that has been rebadged as an unassuming consumer TV. However, unlike the Shrek TV, Batman TV and others, this one lacks PAL color decoding. Seriously, you can plug in a PAL game system and it will sync, but not be in color. Oddly, it supports the South American standards such as PAL-M and PAL-N, but not the European standard. Very strange. But I suppose that since this set was sold in this hemisphere, it makes sense. Still a bummer, though.
A nifty thing to see on a 13" set is s-video input. This set is perfect for Commodore and Atari 8-bit computers outputting s-video, as the screen size is the same as the 1701/2 and other monitors of the time.
The DVD drives in these sets tend to fail ejecting, and this is due to the belts needing replacement.
