Summary

The Mega Calibrator, along with its closely similar predecessor and variants, is presumed to be the largest 4:3 aspect CRT computer monitor ever commercially available. Built around a fine pitch 29" curved dot trio tube from Panasonic. With its combined size and resolution unmatched, it was marketed towards critical applications such as professional graphics, CAD, geography, film, and even medical imaging.

Controls

Barco's Calibrator line of computer monitors came equipped with a plethora of adjustments accessible to the end user, many of which are made through Barco's proprietary CalibratorTalk software. The earlier Calibrator line which the Mega Calibrator belongs to, features an off-screen-display, in this case a matrix LCD placed between the front panel control buttons. It is possible to disable much of the front panel controls using CalibratorTalk, placing the monitor in a partially functional state without the software.
