The picture processing on this set is a mixed bag. It uses a Micronas jungle chip, and those were not known to be of the best quality. Composite and s-video looking good, but component looks... off. There seems to be some luma artifacting you can't quite dial out, which is annoying. Reds are pushed, yet also at a lower chroma resolution, so they bleed.
Lastly, there appears to be velocity modulation that you cannot turn off. It is injected from pin 34 of the jungle, so maybe it can be disabled if that pin is desoldered from the board.
