By 1999, Hitachi was preparing to leave the CRT market to focus on plasma displays. They had offloaded the manufacture of their smaller sets companies like LG-Zenith, Panasonic, and Sharp.

This specific set is a rebadge of a Panasonic CT-27D10. It has excellent picture quality.
