Summary

Highest performance dot mask 20" CRT from Hitachi. It can scan up to blistering 130kHz horizontal. The only dot mask monitors I am aware of which can scan higher are the 'Procalix' (140kHz!), the Viewsonic 'XTREME' P817 (137kHz), and the Eizo F980 (137kHz).

It has been confirmed that the vertical refresh can go up to 200Hz on this model, despite the manual noting the max as 160Hz.

It is believed there is not a non-plus SuperScan 815 model.

The Fujitsu Siemens MCM 21P2 is a rebrand of this monitor.

Notes

It seems there is currently no way to adjust RGB bias, sub contrast and some other options without the factory calibration software, which is currently lost media. Thankfully, RGB gains are adjustable through the user-facing OSD.

There are barely any pictures of these online - I have never found one myself. If you own a working one please submit some pictures.
