Summary

The Hitatchi Superscan elite is a slightly lower-end variant of the Superscan Supreme. Superscan elite features DB15 VGA in and BNC connectors with switches for 75-ohm and 2k-ohm input. The monitors are cosmetically identical from the outside, with the primary differences being their dot pitch (0.26mm vs 0.28mm in the center), and their maximum scan rate (95kHz vs 90kHz). Dot pitch is 0.24mm in the corners.

Notes

The "serial" port on the back of the montior uses propreitary software, which has been lost to time. Fortunately, Hitatchi included internal potentiometers for all color and geometry adjustments. The color bias can be adjusted by holding the color button, and one of the 3 leftmost buttons on the front of the monitor to adjust R, G, and B. A model number ending in MU designates a US-designed model, ME denotes a Europe-designed model.
