Summary

Entry level PC monitor, styled to match HP's Pavilion desktop computers in the early 2000s. The MX50 is a 54 kHz monitor, and was designed to be used in 800x600 at 85 Hz or 1024x768 at 60 Hz.

Multiple variants of this monitor were produced by different manufacturers. While cosmetically similar and having the same specs, they are internally very different. This version, labeled P1282-6051, was manufactured by Samsung and uses the DP15H chassis.

Notes

Sold as a "multimedia monitor", the HP MX50 has a built-in microphone at the top of the tube and attachment points for side-mounted speakers.

The panels at the top and bottom bezel is originally a translucent steel gray. However, they are susceptible to yellowing with age and can turn to a coffee brown color.

This monitor has no manual G2 voltage adjustment. Calibration of this and other values is done via software (which does not appear to be available).
