Summary

Portable 9" broadcast monitor from JVC. Like the rest of the DT-V series, it features multi-format capability. It will accept 480i, 720p, and 1080i via SDI in addition to two standard definition composite video inputs. Unlike the other models in the series, the DT-V100 is not a true multisync monitor; HD resolutions are downscaled to 480i through an external adapter. It uses the same low-TVL slot mask tube as JVC's other 9" monitors. It was released in 2005 with an MSRP of $945, not including the SDI module which was priced at $2060.

The TM-1051DG and TM-1011G, both released the following year (2006) are very similar. The 1051DG is nearly identical, but supports standard definition SDI only. The TM-1011G does not have SDI capability, but includes a built-in speaker and 12v capability.

Notes

This monitor was also sold by Ikegami as the HTM9-1D. It is identical aside from the branding.

The IF-C151HDG SDI input module is located in a metal enclosure on the back of the monitor. It decodes SD and HD SDI signals, downscales to 480i, and outputs analog YPbPr to the monitor. An analog component input module (IF-C101CMG) was advertised but appears to have never been released. The monitor can still be used without it, but will give an error message when inputs C or D are selected.

Like many other JVC pro monitors, this model uses a Toshiba TA1276AN jungle chip, which can be modified for RGB. This method was developed by Martin Hejnfelt and uses an Arduino to set brightness levels for the RGB input. Instructions can be found on the Immerhax.com website.
