4.5" professional monitor from JVC. It sports a truly unique design that consists of a black-and-white CRT tube with a colour LCD in front of it to produce a color image. It was promoted to be useful is very bright environments. JVC's "LCSS" technology consists of capturing seperate RGB signals into field memory, then displaying the signal three times through the CRT while shuttering the LCD in color sequence. JVC also made an similar monitor, dubbed the TM-L500PN. It is marketed as a 5" display but carries the exact same internal part numbers including CRT tube and LCD.
