Notes

There is a similar looking remote KK-Y284B that is mostly compatible, though a number of button labels and functions are mismatched (and there is no functional equivalent to the Stop or Mute on that remote). But at the time of writing it is more readily available than the original KLH remote, so a diagram is in the gallery below showing what the differing button functions are.

Repair Notes

One unit would not eject the DVD tray. This can be fixed by refurbishing (or replacing) the belt in the DVD drive. A simple way to get the belt working properly is to remove it from the drive and lightly sand the inner surface of the belt with very fine grit sandpaper such as 400 grit.
