Summary

High-end 32" HD CRT by Loewe, made in Germany and launched in North America in 2001. Has RF, composite, s-video, component, and VGA input. It can natively scan 480p/960i, 540p/1080i, and upconverts NTSC and PAL signals. Came in a Matte Black (MB) finish. This model is a bit of a successor to the Arcada 32, in that it uses the newer A2400 chassis.

In 1999, Loewe partnered with Sensory Science Corporation (formerly Go-Video) for distribution of their sets in the USA. Then in 2001 SonicBlue acquired Sensory Science. Later that same year, it was announced that Loewe and SonicBlue would end their partnership: Loewe, SonicBlue End U.S. TV Agreement

These sets were sold in limited numbers and were very expensive for the time.

Notes

Over the years there have been reports of power supply failure and relay faults with these sets. It is advised that if you do find one of these models, be aware it may need servicing at some point in the future. Later on Loewe made further refinements with the A2440 chassis.

The VGA input accepts higher resolutions, but the component input is SD only.
