Summary

Among a field of excellent monitors, this one earned top marks as an all-around performer. It came out on top on our jury tests for both business and graphics applications, with sharp, steady images and good color. The 800v showed excellent convergence on the SuperSpot measurements and demonstrated good image geometry and size regulation with the DisplayMate program.

Repair Notes

Unit pictured had smearing to the right, and the left and right edges of the screen would not focus. Many high ESR and open electrolytic capacitors were found, including all seven of the ones on the neckboard. Replacing these fixed the smearing, and adjusting the dual focus pots on the flyback fixed the out of focus edges.
