The picture quality over component is mostly fantastic. Just be sure to turn down color saturation in the standard menu to get optimal results. The set even supports 50hz, but only over component will it be in color.

Chassis was originally made by TCL (Hence the "TC" in the chassis model number. However, that was just Philips's name for the chassis, as it is also known as the M123A chassis in RCA's 20F512T.

The set is a bit odd. While it's mostly fine, it has a strange quirk with ABL. Now this may be due to cap health, (I'm not certain,) but this set has a weird black crush that kicks in when there's a lot of bright colors onscreen. Take the image with the title screen for Bonk's Adventure, for example. Around the bright letters you can make out the shade of deep blue, but further down the blue is crushed to near black. A strange quirk, indeed.
