Summary

Compact 13" TV/DVD combo unit. Smaller than most DVD combos, its overall size is similar to a standalone 13" TV. Unlike most Magnavox-branded TVs (which are typically made by Philips), this model was manufactured by Funai. Operation is similar to other Funai-produced units from Sylvania, Emerson, etc.

Notes

Some functions of this TV, especially, the picture adjustment settings, require a Funai-made remote with a Picture button. These are not accessible from the front panel, and most universal remotes don't have the right buttons.

Entering the service menu requires having an additional remote and cutting and jumping pins on a small IC inside the remote and would not be easy for a novice to do successfully.

Repair Notes

On the unit pictured the main filter capacitor had gone open which was causing significant distortions in the picture.
