Stereo sound is very good, with its two well-sized internal speakers below the screen.

Notes

To switch to the rear AV input without the remote, press the Display button on the set until AUX-IN is shown and press Vol- to select it.

Repair Notes

• Resistors R419 and R421 had cold solder joints.
• At first the image would have no color and look smeared, but then would fix itself after about a minute of being on. All of the 1000uF electrolytics tested high ESR and were replaced. This fixed the missing color and smearing.
• Unit pictured would take about 3 minutes to warm up after being plugged in before the power button would work. There was also visual noise in the picture. The causes of the visual noise and the delayed start-up after being plugged in were undetermined.
• Grays skewed purple, so green was increased to achieve balance. Though on scenes with lots of white on the screen, the whole picture would take on a green tint until the scene became darker.
