Summary

13" Disney themed kids' TV. One of several models with a "Mickey Mouse" motif, it was distributed by Memorex under the "Disney Electronics" brand. This model was manufactured by Orion and features a rounded red & yellow case. It doesn't have internal speakers; they are housed in two round "Mickey Mouse Ears" that attach to the top of the TV via RCA jacks. The OSD is very elaborate, with Disney character graphics and colorful fonts. Matching DVD players & VCR units were also available.

Notes

The RCA jacks on top of the TV are amplified audio, and are meant to be connected directly to a pair of 8 ohm speakers. They should never be connected to a stereo system or computer speakers.

The TV can be modified to add internal speakers if the original assembly is missing. Most 8 ohm shielded speakers should work.

Unlike most Orion-produced TVs, this model has input select and menu buttons on the front. The AV inputs can also be cycled through using the channel select buttons. Aside from the service menu, all of the TV's functions can be accessed without the remote.

The dimensions listed in the sidebar include the speaker attachment. Without it, the TV is 350 mm (13 3/4 inches) tall.

Unlike most small Orion TVs from that year, this model uses separate micon/jungle chips and can be modified for RGB input using the OSD Mux method.
