Mitsubishi 20" diag. color TV. Remote control, on-screen time/channel display and a dark tint Black Matrix picture tube.

Repair Notes

• One unit had vertical collapse. R525 was open, D509 was shorted, C405 had high ESR, and IC402's pins 1 & 2 were shorted to each other. Replacing all these fixed the vertical collapse.
• After fixing the vertical collapse there was a vertical wave shrinking and stretching as it slowly rolled up the screen. Many more electrolytics tested open or out of spec but replacing them did not fix the rolling wave issue.

Notes

Like some other Mitsubishi chassis at the time, picture settings will be lost and revert to their defaults when the set is unplugged. The VIDEO button on the remote brings up picture settings adjustments.

This chassis has the jungle on the cold side with composite and s-video mods being a possibility.
