SuperFlats were high-end consumer sets also marketed as GAOO (pronounced "gah-oh"), Japanese for "King of Pictures". Has a SuperFlat M-class picture tube, and very good sound due to 2-way (dual-driver) stereo speakers.

Notes

This set has VM you cannot turn off in the menu or service menu. The only way to disable it is to unplug the connection C2 on the neckboard which connects to the VM coil.

Repair Notes

One example would not turn on and made a tic-tic-tic sound due to ceramic capacitor C572 having gone open, 470pF 2kV. There was then vertical collapse which was resolved after replacing borderline high ESR electrolytic C455, 2200uf 35v. This same set also had also lost corner focus.
