For whatever reason, most of the 2003 and some of the 2004 standard-definition Panasonic models have picture processing issues; things like jittery sync processing, noise, black crush, and awful ringing artifacts.

I personally am uncertain if the jungle chip itself is at fault, or other components on the board are causing these issues. Whatever the cause may be, this set is not particularly nice-looking when it comes to picture quality. I would only consider VHS and Laserdisc content to look acceptable on this set.
