All Panasonic HD CRTs are lag-free 480p and 1080i. Component looks very clean.
Like the other Tau HD CRT models for that year, this model has the option to toggle between processing modes for 15khz signals. In TV MODE 240p and 480i are linedoubled to 480p and have a blocky appearance. However, in GAME MODE those signals have artificial black scanlines overlaid giving it the appearance of true 240p/480i. This option can only be enabled for composite and s-video.
