Notes

This specific model of TV does not have a service menu. Service adjustments can be made one of two ways: either by a PC interface or using a factory service remote. Neither of those options is readily available at this time.

Like many Philips TVs, this model is capable of syncing to 50hz. Pal video will still display in black and white through the composite and S-Video inputs, but will be in color if you use component.

Several Philips TVs, including this model, are prone to oxidized microswitches on the front panel. This causes the buttons to perform the wrong function when pressed. This can be fixed by replacing the switches, or avoided by using the remote instead.

This model, and many other Philips TVs in its size range, can be modified for component video input. Performing the mod on this model is difficult, as it requires the factory remote. However, the same procedure can be used with other Philips TVs that do have service menu access, and the results are very good. One useful feature is that the video out jacks can be reconfigured for component input by populating some jumpers and passive components on the board.
