Notes

While the spec sheet states this set has a digital comb filter, it doesn't present as such and the results are actually like a notch filter, which is good for gaming in that this means no horizontal hanging dots aka chroma mesh failure.

Several Philips TVs, including this model, are prone to oxidized microswitches on the front panel. This causes the buttons to perform the wrong function when pressed. This can be fixed by spraying them with contact cleaner, replacing the switches, or avoided by using the remote instead.

The screws holding on the back cabinet are Torx T10.

Repair Notes

• Unit would not turn on. I repaired this some time ago but from what I recall there were a couple of large visibly bulging electrolytic capacitors in the power supply area.
