Notes
Has a color temperature setting. These late-model Philips have a feature that is uncommon on consumer sets, that being an hours of usage counter. It is shown when accessing the service menu; key in 062596 directly followed by the “M” (menu) button.
Composite 240p Performance
by Eli Krause
For composite decoding this set uses a Philips TDA9377PS, a digital comb filter. It is excellent for 240p content, being equal or nearly equal in performance to a RetroTink's notch filter. All dithering patterns are blended properly, and fringing and dot artifacting are minimized or nonexistent.
