Summary

The CTC159 series color television chassis are the latest additions to the RCA and GE brand Unitized Chassis family. The CTC156/157 chassis is used in the low end of the product line, and the CTC158/159 is used in models in the middle of the product line.

To use the composite input set to channel 91. To use the s-video input set to channel 90.

The Sam's for this set also covers many other sets and indicates that there is a horizontal width VR in the adjustments section, but this set does not have that pot populated.

Repair Notes

One unit had vertical deflection both stretched and sometimes out of sync. All four capacitors in the vertical circuit were replaced and joints reflowed. This fixed the sync issue, but when the set was first turned on the image would be dark with the vertical both extremely stretched and partially collapsed. It would gradually correct itself as the set warmed up and start being close to normal after about ten minutes. Cause undetermined.
