This set is one of the better Sanyo models. It certainly is a cheaper alternative to a JVC D-Series or a curved Toshiba or Sharp, I'd say. The jungle chip is surprisingly a great performer despite being designed by Sanyo. None of the nasty luma transition artifacts that are present on the later models are to be seen on this set. Overall, I think the picture quality is excellent.

Picture tube is by Panasonic, but it was made during their merger as Matsushita-Toshiba. It is also a great performer.
