Set has a phenomenal picture once you disable velocity modulation. (This was among Sharp's first sets to feature this.) There are two ways to disable it:

• In the service menu, set "VSM GAIN" 0.
• Unplug VM coil from neckboard

Tube listed in the service manual is a Toshiba model, though its possible tubes by other brands may be found in this set.
