The tube is 330mm diagonal (13") but viewable diameter is only 12".
The picture and volume controls are digital - memory is lost when the set is powered off. Its best to just leave the picture control at its default level and adjust it from the inside sub-contrast adjustment instead.
This TV will not turn on unless the "MASTER" switch on top is toggled ON first.
This TV has a standby circuit that runs when the "MASTER" switch on the top is togged ON. You should always leave this switch OFF when not using the TV for safety and energy efficiency. The 12v standby circuit is a linear power circuit derived straight from voltage-dropping the full 120v DC via a huge ceramic block resistor.
