Notes
This set came in two design styles. Featured in this article is the gray bezel, silver trim, black panel, and woodgrain casing. The other design featured in Sunthar's article has a silver style:
Despite having A/V inputs, this TV uses a hot chassis design. Instead of isolating the entire TV, a section of the input board is isolated via a small transformer and the signals are transmitted using optocouplers.
This CRT is confirmed to be a hot chassis.
Hot Chassis means that "ground" on the chassis is tied to one side of the AC input from the wall, and touching it with your hand will complete a live circuit through your body to earth ground if the CRT is plugged into an AC outlet. The proper way to avoid this danger is to use an isolation transformer to isolate the CRT from earth ground and prevent electrocuting yourself.
