Summary
This is a little 4" foldable Sony that was marketed to executives in the 80s. It was very expensive, and its all-metal foldable construction definitely gives you that impression when you first hold it. Sony considers the design one of their milestones of the 80s, the KV-4PT is featured in their online design history museum.
All of the adjustment controls are revealed to you when you unlatch the top half and tilt it up to a viewable angle - little low-profile knobs hiding out of sight. The reception antenna folds out on a multi-joint arm that allows it to hide completely flush against the case when not in use.
