Summary
Sony's SSM series monitors were variants of their lower end PVM models, targeted towards the CCTV & security industry and often with a reduced feature set. The Sony SSM-2010 is a professional variant the KV-2020R. The primary difference is the input configuration where the SSM-2010 uses an optically isolated BNC composite input and output as well as RCA single channel audio input and output. Sony officially refers to the set as a Trinitron Color Monitor, however the set only uses an A class tube and is 15kHz NTSC only.

This set is a hot chassis, it uses optical isolation IC packages for the composite video and audio.
This CRT is confirmed to be a hot chassis.
Hot Chassis means that "ground" on the chassis is tied to one side of the AC input from the wall, and touching it with your hand will complete a live circuit through your body to earth ground if the CRT is plugged into an AC outlet. The proper way to avoid this danger is to use an isolation transformer to isolate the CRT from earth ground and prevent electrocuting yourself.
