Required Hardware

USB to TTL Adapter

  • The recommended adapter is a Moyina USB to TTL Adapter.
    • 10 DuPont female to female connector cables are included with this adapter.
      • Four cable ends can be taped together to connect to the ECS port on the CRT.
    • Drivers are located here.
      • Windows is generally pretty good about automatically installing drivers when the USB to TTL adapter is connected.
      • Only install these drivers if the USB Serial Port does not appear in Device Manager after a scan for hardware changes..

USB Extension Cable

  • The recommended cable is a SABRENT USB 3.0 Extension Cable.
    • The DuPont cables included with the recomended USB to TTL adapter are short, so you'll want a USB extension cable to connect the adapter to a host system.

Colorimeter

  • The recommended colorimeter is anything in the X-Rite i1 Display, X-Rite ColorMunki Display, or Calibrite ColorChecker series.
    • See [[Colorimeter Recommendations]] for more details.
