The pictures you see below are of the set over RGB after modification. The focus has been tweaked and spot sized further tightened by performing the TVL trick.

The picture tube in this model can vary. You can find out what model it is based on the letter (or lack thereof) beside the serial number. This particular model has an LG/Goldstar tube, designated by the letter "B" beside the serial number. Its a fine tube all things considered!

Jungle chip is a JVC model made in-house. Its pretty darn good, except there's a mild luma halo across all signals. Nothing too bothersome, but worth noting.

RGB Mod and Service Menu

After modding, you must set the input to Video 2 Component for you to play in RGB. To adjust white balance for RGB (inclusing all the other inputs) you do it this way:

LOW LIGHT is red, green and blue cutoffs, and HIGH LIGHT is red and blue drives. (There is no option to adjust green drive, unfortunately.) The numbers on the remote correspond to following adjustments:

1 - Horizontal line ON 2 - Horizontal line OFF 3 - EXIT 4 - Red Drive/cutoff UP 5 - Green cutoff UP 6 - Blue drive/cutoff UP 7 - Red drive/cutoff DOWN 8 - Green cutoff DOWN 9 - BLUE drive/cutoff DOWN

If you use composite, s-video or component, you will have to contend with mild red-push. To disable it, go into the service menu and do the following steps:

• Set DEMO AX RY and CMP D AX R to “0.”
