Summary

Portable 9" broadcast monitor with a low TVL slot mask tube, dual composite inputs, and a built in SDI input card.

This monitor is a modified version of the JVC TM-1011GU. Unlike its analog predecessor, this version has no audio or 12v power inputs.

Notes

This monitor was also sold by Ikegami as the TM9-3D. The monitor in these pictures is an Ikegami rebrand rather than the JVC model, although otherwise it is identical.

The metal enclosure on the back of the monitor contains an SDI to YPbPr converter, which provides its SDI input capability. It will function perfectly well without the SDI module; when this is removed it will give an error message when attempting to switch to SDI but will otherwise operate as normal.

Like many other JVC pro monitors, this model uses a Toshiba TA1276AN jungle chip. It should be possible to modify it for RGB input in the same way as the TM-1011G. This method was developed by Martin Hejnfelt and uses an Arduino to set brightness levels for the RGB input. Instructions can be found on the Immerhax.com website.
