Picture quality is almost perfect. Color is good, there's just this... I dunno how to explain it... luma shift(?) going on in the signal. The Philips jungle chip this set uses is at fault, and other sets that share the chip also have the same problem. There is no fix for it, as far as I can tell. (Maybe an RGB mod is possible?) Still, the picture quality is pretty nice.

Picture tube is a lovely LG-Philips model. This same tube can be found in many Philips/Magnavox CRTs. It also has a removable anti-glare coating.

You can access the service manual using any compatible remote - turn the TV off (standby mode), then Press "MUTE 1 8 2 POWER".
