Summary

A pretty good 32" HD CRT by Samsung. It can do native 480p and 1080i without lag, but 240p/480i is processed with latency. It uses a tube made in-house by Samsung Display Inc. in Korea.

Notes

You can access the service manual using any compatible remote - turn the TV off (standby mode), then Press "MUTE 1 8 2 POWER".

This chassis has annoying color fringing artifacts in component video. It is recommended to adjust service menu options "LTI" and "CTI" to correct this.

Voltage regulation leaves a bit to be desired, as I found the raster would bloom a bit during brightness transitions. It is still better than most consumer sets, however.

Geometry is lackluster on these sets, especially linearity. If you look at the grid picture, the middle of the raster is shifted slightly to the right with the left side being fatter. If you adjust the horizontal size to see the full width via the service menu, you will see that the right edge will fold in on itself. (Apparently the pixel clock is not up to the task.) Therefore, the raster must remain overscanned a bit to hide the folding.

Overall, this is a pretty good (but still kind of flawed) set. With some tweaks, I found it could look really nice for 480p content.
