With a DA-4 chassis, it shares the same components of the KV-36XVR800 the KV-40XBR800. Unlike the previous chassis, all signals go through a processing stage that adds lag, but you can bypass the processing for 540p/1080i by changing service menu option "HDPT" to 0.

This set was also among Sony's first have a digital signal input.
