Notes
This set was one of the first to use the DA-4 chassis. Unlike the previous chassis, all signals go through a processing stage that adds lag, but you can bypass the processing for 540p/1080i by changing service menu option "HDPT" to 0. This chassis also introduced 720p support.
This set was also among Sony's first have a digital signal input via DVI. It primarily was intended to connect to a digital HDTV receiver, model SAT-HD200:
Repairs and Adjustments
This set suffers from the PWM power manager IC failure (2 of the MCZ3001DB), that can be easily fixed by swapping them. Passive heatsink can also help preventing early failure.
