Summary

Cute little CRT with a carrying handle. Shares the same tube as some Sony PVMs (see below).

Internally the design is very similar in appearance to the slightly newer KV-8AD11/12 but they have different jungles, vertical ICs, and other various parts.

Notes

When opening the monitor, you lift the cover from the rear similar to the trunk of a car. There is a connector for the RF antenna that needs to be disconnected before the cover can be completely removed (see image below).

  • Shares the same A-class CRT as the PVM 8020, 8041/42Q and many others. Click the tube name from the spec list to see more. The yoke is compatible with the PVM-8020 and can be used as a direct swap, although the PCB connector must be replaced.
  • No OSD adjustment is possible - all color adjustments are done with knobs on the side and the geometry adjustments are internal potentiometers.
  • Horizontal width is controlled by a width coil.
