The s-video quality on this set is excellent. Very little chroma bleed. I recommend turning color saturation a smidge to counteract the red push this set employs.

The Toshiba jungle in this set has pins for analog RGB, so a mod is possible. Link to steps HERE

JVC used two different picture tubes in their 27" TVs, indicated by a letter S or R after the serial number. S units contain a Samsung tube, and those with an R use an RCA tube. The RCA tube is the worse of the two, suffering from blurry corners due to aging faster. Thankfully, the tube being showcased in this article is of the Samsung tube, and it's much better in my experience.
