Picture quality on this set is good by default, but reds are overblown pushed. If you wish to disable the red push you can go into the service menu and follow these steps:

• For TV channels, RF, composite, and s-video, set R Y GAIN and CD MATRIX to “000.”
• Then switch over to component input and turn CMP R Y GAIN and CMP CD MATRIX to “000.”
• After that, red push should be completely eliminated.

The picture quality will be greatly improved after you do this, and you can turn down color saturation and perform a white balance in the service menu to dial it in.

The tube in this model can be identified based on the letter beside the serial number: "R" for RCA, and "S" for Samsung. The pics you see are of the Samsung tube with low hours and it's fantastic! Very sharp and clean. Picture was set with red push disabled, and sharpness set to 25%.
